Anderson Beet Pulp Shreds
Anderson® Beet Pulp Shreds are a high-fiber, low-sugar forage supplement made from dried sugar beet pulp. The loose-cut shred format expands quickly when soaked, making it one of the fastest and most effective hydration-forward supplements available for horses. Whether used as a digestive aid, a calorie source for hard keepers, or a carrier for supplements and medications, beet pulp shreds are a barn staple.

Feeding Recommendations
Horses
Always soak before feeding — add 2–3 parts water to 1 part dry shreds and allow 15–30 minutes to expand fully. Soaked beet pulp meaningfully increases water intake and supports hindgut health. Feed 0.5–1 lb dry weight per feeding and adjust based on body condition and energy requirements.
Cattle, Goats & Sheep
Can be incorporated into TMR rations or fed soaked as a supplemental fiber source.

Fast-Soaking Format: The shredded cut expands rapidly — faster than pellets — creating a palatable, hydrating mash.
High Digestible Fiber: Soluble fiber from beet pulp is fermented efficiently in the hindgut, delivering steady energy and supporting gut health.
Low NSC: Safe for insulin-resistant horses and those requiring carbohydrate management, providing energy without excess sugar or starch.
