Feeding Recommendations

Horses

Feed at 1.5–2.5% of body weight per day. Teff is ideal as a primary forage for horses with metabolic conditions requiring strict NSC management. Introduce gradually. If precise NSC levels are critical to your horse's care plan, consider lot-specific hay testing.

Cattle & Livestock

A suitable forage option for cattle and other ruminants where low-NSC roughage is preferred.

Rabbits

Can be offered as a supplemental forage. Teff's fine texture is well accepted.

Low NSC (<10%): Among the lowest NSC values of any commercially available hay type, making it the safest grass hay choice for horses with insulin resistance or Cushing's.

Full-Bale Format: 90 lb bale designed for high-volume operations managing dietary needs at scale.

Consistent Quality: Grown and tested to Anderson's quality standards for reliable NSC levels across all bales.
